Pastors Note |
Through the years, we have changed locations from where we began on Jamaica Avenue in Jamaica Queens, to Linden Boulevard, St. Albans, and now we are located at 228 St. Laurelton, Queens, New York. The Lord has helped us to minister to the people in the communities wherever we are placed. God has equipped us for the challenges we have to face.
We have been able to reach people generally in the Queens and Brooklyn area, but all persons are welcome. Many of our brethren travel to our location for our worship services on Sundays. However, our mid-week prayer/bible study is held in groups in Brooklyn and throughout the Queens area.
We sense the Lord's leading to make a greater impact, not only in the Laurelton community where we are located, but also in the entire New York area. Our Lord's instructions to His followers before He left, in Acts 1: 8, are constantly propelling us: "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." We trust that as we pray, focus on the task ahead and evangelize our "Jerusalem" (around us), the heavens will rejoice as many come into a rich and rewarding relationship with the Lord Jesus.
Through the vision of our (senior) pastor, we are involved in missions annually that have positively affected the lives of many people. We have contributed to missionary work in Africa, and more extensively to Guyana and the Caribbean. Along with our foreign missions, we have maintained our own local benevolence program that has served to help many anonymously.
By God's grace, we believe that this new area of ministry will be a blessing to you. In addition, it provides opportunities for your interaction with us and the prayerful support we could lend to each other. My desire is that your life will be enriched as you fellowship with us at our location, through one of our groups, or via our website. May the Lord's blessings overtake you and your entire household!
